About Us

Growing Trust. Delivering Quality.
At Horizon, we believe great spaces deserve more than decoration — they deserve life.
That’s why we created the HydroFarm: a smart, on-site growing system designed to bring freshness, sustainability, and authenticity directly into everyday environments.
We combine proven agricultural science, thoughtful design, and reliable technology to help cafés, restaurants, schools, and modern spaces grow high-quality greens — visibly, locally, and responsibly.

Our Story
Horizon Educational began with a mission to make science hands-on and inspiring. From classroom STEM kits to global hydrogen racing, we’ve grown into a leader in clean energy education and innovation. Through partnerships, global programs, and advanced learning tools, we’ve connected students and educators worldwide with the technologies shaping a sustainable future.
Today, with Horizon Hydroponics, we’re expanding that mission even further — bringing smart, soil-free farming into classrooms and communities to teach the science of growth, sustainability, and innovation.

Horizon Educational
In 2011, Horizon Educational was born — bringing STEM innovation and hydrogen technology to classrooms around the world.
What began as a mission to make science hands-on and inspiring quickly grew into a global movement. Through interactive kits and real-world experiments, Horizon Educational helped students explore renewable energy, sustainability, and the technologies shaping our future.

US Expansion
In 2014, Horizon Educational expanded into the United States, securing our place in one of the most dynamic and forward-thinking education markets in the world. This milestone marked the beginning of a new chapter — one focused on deeper collaboration, innovation, and global reach. By partnering with leading distributors and educators, we brought hands-on STEM equipment and clean energy learning tools to schools across the U.S. and the Americas.

The H2 Grand Prix
In 2015, we launched the H2 Grand Prix — a global competition where students design, build, and race hydrogen-powered cars.
What started as a bold educational experiment is now a worldwide program in 20+ countries with over 750 teams. The H2 Grand Prix gives students hands-on experience in renewable energy and engineering, inspiring the next generation of innovators driving a sustainable future.

Heliocentris Merger
In 2016, we merged with Heliocentris Academia — an established leader in hydrogen educational technology for university and research applications.
Founded in 1995, Heliocentris provides didactic materials and lab equipment to universities and research institutions across the world.
The merger fulfilled Horizon's strategic vision of expanding their offering to more research focused institutions.

Asia-Pacific Expansion
In 2018, Horizon Educational expanded into the Asia-Pacific region with the opening of our office on the Gold Coast, Australia. This strategic step brought hydrogen education and clean energy technology to schools throughout the region, strengthening our mission to make STEM learning hands-on and future-focused.
The expansion also accelerated the H2 Grand Prix program’s growth, with schools across Australia and Asia joining the global movement to design, build, and race hydrogen-powered cars — inspiring the next generation of clean energy innovators.

Horizon Hydroponics
In 2025, Horizon Hydroponics was founded as the next strategic step in Horizon Educational’s mission to connect learning with real-world sustainability. Building on years of experience in STEM and clean energy education, Horizon Hydroponics brings innovation indoors with smart, soil-free farming systems.
Designed for classrooms, restaurants, and innovation spaces, our hydroponic technology allows anyone to grow fresh, chemical-free produce year-round — while teaching the science and sustainability behind modern agriculture.
